SUMMARY:Little Women the Musical Auditions
DESCRIPTION:Little Women, the Musical\nBook by Allan Knee\nMusic by Jason Howland\nLyrics by Mindi Dickstein\nDirected by Kelliey Black Chavez\nMay 16 – June 7, 2025\n(Musical Comedy/Drama, All Ages)\nProduced nationally and internationally, Little Women has been praised by critics for its ambition in adapting such a well-known story for the stage. This timeless, captivating story is brought to life in this glorious musical filled with personal discovery, heartache, hope and everlasting love. The original production starred the unparalleled Sutton Foster, who received Tony, Outer Critics Circle and Drama Desk nominations for her performance.\nBased on Louisa May Alcott’s life, Little Women follows the adventures of sisters, Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy March. Jo is trying to sell her stories for publication, but the publishers are not interested – her friend, Professor Bhaer, tells her that she has to do better and write more from herself. Begrudgingly taking this advice, Jo weaves the story of herself and her sisters and their experience growing up in Civil War America.\nLittle Women embodies the complete theatrical experience, guaranteeing a night filled with laughter, tears and a lifting of the spirit. The powerful score soars with the sounds of personal discovery, heartache and hope – the sounds of a young America finding its voice.\n \nAUDITIONS February 15th & 16th – additional spots open.\nPlease sing a song from the show Little Women. Prepare the best 60-90 seconds of that song. If you are interested in a specific role, great, choose a song that character sings. There will be no accompanist, so please have your musical track on your phone and we will pair it to a speaker if needed.\nCallbacks will be on Sunday. If called back, you will be reading with others from the script.\nShow Dates are: May 16, 17, 18, 22, 23, 24, 25, 29, 30, 31, June 1, 5, 6, 7\nShow Team:\n\nDirector-Kelliey Black Chavez;\nMusic Director-Eric Maine;\nChoreographers: Taylor Vickers & Kyrie Brown;\nSet Design: Ryan White;\nLight Design: Dan Allers;\nCostumes: Cheryl Blauer;\nStage Manager: Jay Parker;\n\n \nSign up for an audition time HERE!
