UPDATE 2/1/22: NOISES OFF RESCHEDULED!All dates this weekend (2/3-2/5) rescheduled to next weekend (2/10-2/12) due to COVID-19. Our box office is rescheduling tickets to the same day and time, but please call if you prefer a different date or a refund: 208-342-5104. This also means you have a chance to see this hysterical show next weekend!
UPDATE, Monday, August 23, 2021: Masks will be required at all times in the theater, even while seated. If you cannot comply with our mask policy, you will be asked to leave our building. You can get comfortable BLT masks from our merchandise store: http://ow.ly/9P7t50FWJyT. In addition to adding space between our rows, we have adjusted the distance between parties so that 2 seats on either side of every party will be blocked out in the same row. Hand sanitizer will be available in our lobby.
BLT installed a GPS NPBI!
Say what? Global Plasma Solutions installed a pre-filter to Boise Little Theater’s filtration system that uses Needlepoint Bipolar Ionization technology to revolutionize our indoor air quality. This reduces pathogens, odors, and particles, AND saves energy! According to GPS, this new technology deactivates COVID-19 by 99.4% in 30 minutes! Breath easier knowing while you’re enjoying our more comfortable seating arrangement, you’re also breathing cleaner air. Take it in!

Heathers the Musical will not be performed this season due to the increased risk involved with musicals under the current conditions. The Boise Little Theater Board of Directors based this decision on the Central District Health Board of Health meeting this afternoon announcing that Ada County will remain in stage three. Although we were eager to bring you this production, we value the health and safety of everyone involved and ask for your understanding. If you purchased season tickets our nonprofit respectfully ask you to consider the value of this show as a donation to our theater until conditions allow us to bring you performances again. If you would prefer to make an adjustment to your ticket, our friendly box office staff will be happy to help you. Please call 208-342-5104. Thank you for your patience and understanding. We look forward to a day when we can safely entertain you in person again!

UPDATE on ANNUAL PICNIC: Boise Little Theater would like to continue the tradition of a membership appreciation picnic and awards ceremony but given the circumstances, feels that holding the picnic at the usual time on July 20th, is not in the best interests of our community. Therefore, in conjunction with Boise Parks & Recreation, we have pushed back the annual event to at least August 10th. Even though the picnic is an outdoor event in a large seating area, Boise Little Theater strongly encourages you and your household to follow government recommendations for masks and social distancing. We encourage each household to assess the risk to your health as this is not an essential activity. Even if you are eligible for an award, you do not need to be present to accept it.
BLT has decided not to allow the usual potluck to reduce contact between households. However, the usual grillmasters plan to cook up burgers, brats and veggie burgers for your enjoyment. Please bring whatever additional food you’d like for your household. We plan to use additional tables to create extra seating areas to allow adequate social distancing. The surfaces will be sanitized, and hand sanitizer will be available. We are asking you to RSVP for this year’s picnic by August 3rd so we can monitor the size of the event and ensure we will be in line with whatever the guidelines for public gatherings may be in August. Please RSVP by contacting the box office at boxoffice@boiselittletheater.org or 208-342-5104. Our plans will fluctuate with our community’s circumstances. We appreciate your flexibility and understanding of the need for modifications and will update you if the situation changes. Thank you.

Boise Little Theater did things a little differently for auditions this weekend. We are cautiously optimistic that if the stages of reopening continue as planned, we will be able to open our first show, The Book of Will by Lauren Gunderson, one of the most popular playwrights in America, on time, September 4, 2020. Although we want to continue to educate and entertain our community we also want to be responsible community members. We asked our auditioners to support our little theater in this by altering their behavior for the benefit of community members who might need it. We are grateful that auditioners were very compliant with our requests.
Boise Little Theater volunteers sanitized all the seats and high-touch surfaces in the house before auditioners arrived and placed hand sanitizer along several travel paths. Auditioners were asked to enter through the open doors of the lobby instead of the Green Room so they could spread out in the house while waiting to read. Many arrived wearing face masks and were very understanding about the need for voluntary social distancing. Sides were made available as a download prior to auditions and sides that were available on site were not shared. The director also addressed the actors, asking them to be respectful of others’ need for social distancing both in the house and while reading. He explained that we will monitor the situation and adjust safety measures during the rehearsal process as needed. All in all, a very considerate group of theater people weighed the risks and chose to respect and support fellow community members in order to participate in the magic that is live theater.
