(1978-1980)
Dorothy Mousetis was one of Boise Little Theater’s most dedicated volunteers, serving in nearly every capacity over two decades and helping to guide the theater through seasons of growth and celebration.
Dorothy began volunteering as an usher in the 1960–61 season and quickly became an integral part of BLT’s operations. She lent her talents to costumes (Ladies in Retirement, 1962), properties (A Thousand Clowns, 1973), and ticketing before moving into key leadership roles. She served as recording secretary, co-secretary, and co-box office manager through the early 1970s before taking on the mantle of BLT President for two consecutive seasons (1978–79 and 1979–80).
Her commitment to the theater extended well beyond board service. Dorothy worked tirelessly as box office manager, business manager, co-house manager, and a member of the nominating committee, ensuring that BLT remained a well-run and welcoming place for patrons. She also contributed to major productions as technical director for Anything Goes (1983) and helped plan BLT’s 25th anniversary celebrations during the 1982–83 season.
Dorothy’s decades of service—ushering, managing tickets, leading committees, and even stepping into technical production roles—helped keep Boise Little Theater thriving as a community hub for the performing arts. Her dedication and leadership left a lasting impact on BLT and its members.
