Helen Posluszny has been a cornerstone of Boise Little Theater for over five decades, known for her incredible versatility onstage and off. Her journey began in the 1970s as Ivy London in Critic’s Choice (1974), and from there, she became a beloved presence on the BLT stage, taking on a wide range of roles including Olive Madison in The Odd Couple (Female Version), Miss Prism in The Importance of Being Earnest, and Aunt March in Little Women. She earned multiple Best Supporting Actress awards for standout performances in The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940, The Octette Bridge Club, and Anybody Out There?

Beyond acting, Helen’s behind-the-scenes work was just as impactful. She contributed to nearly every aspect of production: as a properties manager, costume designer, makeup assistant, sound technician, set constructor, usher, hospitality coordinator, and box office manager. Her skills in organization and communication shone through in her many years as Greenroom Gazette editor and House Manager, and she held leadership roles on the BLT Board, including serving as President for the 2003–2005 seasons.

Helen also chaired the Script Committee, managed patron and scholarship ticketing, co-coordinated the annual Awards Picnic, and maintained the theater’s history as its longtime historian. A dedicated donor and Gold Key recipient, Helen’s passion for community theater was evident in every role she played, every article she edited, and every show she supported behind the scenes.

Whether crafting a costume, delivering a laugh on stage, or welcoming patrons with warmth and professionalism, Helen Posluszny has left an indelible mark on Boise Little Theater. Her decades of service reflect an unwavering love for the arts and a legacy of leadership, talent, and heart.
