(1949-1950)
Howard Stinson served as Boise Little Theater’s President during the 1949–50 season, following his early involvement as a board member and box office volunteer during the 1948–49 season. A versatile presence both on and off stage, Howard first appeared as Lieutenant Rooney in Arsenic and Old Lace (August 1948) and Mr. Kirby in You Can’t Take It With You (December 1948).
He continued acting in roles such as Senator Kruger in Two Blind Mice (October 1950), Mr. Frye in The Happy Time (October 1952), the Speaker of the Prologue in Gold in the Hills (April 1953), Dr. Trubee in The Willow and I (November 1953), and Endicott Sims in Detective Story (April 1954).
Behind the scenes, Howard contributed extensively: Chair of the House Staff Committee (1950–51), ticketing assistant and usher (1951–52), assistant stage manager and set decorator for The Women (April 1952), and stage manager or set builder for productions including Elizabeth the Queen, Mister Roberts, The Willow and I, and Love Me Long. His dedication across leadership, performance, and production made him a cornerstone of BLT’s early success.
