(1999-2003)

Joe Posluszny was a dedicated and beloved member of the Boise Little Theater community, known for his steadfast commitment behind the scenes and in the front of house. Joe began volunteering as an usher in the early 1980s and quickly became an indispensable part of the theater’s operations. Over the decades, he served as Co-House Manager across multiple seasons, bringing warmth, reliability, and order to every performance night.

In addition to front-of-house leadership, Joe contributed onstage—memorably appearing as the Delivery Man in No Sex Please, We’re British (1995)—and worked backstage on set construction for numerous productions including The Sleeping Beauty, Educating Rita, and Those Crazy Ladies in the House on the Corner.

Joe also served on the BLT Board of Directors and was elected President from 1999 to 2003. During this time, he played a key role in theater operations, ticketing, and audience engagement, as well as pivotal in the beginning of the Youth Summer Production in partnership between Boise Little Theater and Boise Parks and Recreation. A passionate advocate for the theater’s future, he spearheaded the Capital Building Fund and was actively involved in fundraising efforts well into the 2010s. Joe & Helen Posluszny also began the Posluszny scholarship fund and continue to regularly contribute helping insure the success of children involved at BLT as they grow.

Joe’s leadership, generosity, and years of service earned him Boise Little Theater’s “Lifetime Patron Membership” in 2005. Though he stepped away from board service in 2016 for health reasons, his legacy of dedication continues to echo through every show, every audience member welcomed, and every brick laid toward BLT’s enduring future.
