Ralph Stuart was a cornerstone of Boise Little Theater for over two decades, serving as an actor, director’s assistant, house manager, usher, and board president. His dedication to BLT spanned from the late 1960s through the mid-1990s, leaving an enduring legacy of commitment both on and off stage.

Ralph first appeared on the BLT stage as Ebenezer Scrooge in A Christmas Carol (1967), a performance still fondly remembered by longtime patrons. Over the years, he portrayed a wide range of characters, from Sergeant King in No Time for Sergeants (1968) to the witty Parker Ballantine in Critic’s Choice (1974), the dignified Duke Lambert in Death Takes a Holiday (1977), and General MacKenzie in Ten Little Indians (1983). His versatility shone in comedies, dramas, and mysteries alike, including memorable turns in Dinner at Eight, Murder Among Friends, Busybody, and MacBeth Did It.

Beyond the spotlight, Ralph gave tirelessly of his time. He served as co-house manager for multiple seasons, assisted with properties and set construction, and contributed to.

Even after stepping away from the stage, Ralph continued to support the theater as an usher, patron, and later an angel ticket holder, faithfully attending productions year after year with his wife. In recognition of his decades of service, Ralph was honored with the prestigious Gold Key Award during the 1994–95 season — one of BLT’s highest honors.

Ralph Stuart’s passion, talent, and unwavering volunteer spirit helped shape Boise Little Theater into the thriving community institution it remains today. His contributions continue to inspire new generations of theater lovers, actors, and volunteers.
