Roy G. Maxey played a key role in strengthening the administrative and operational foundation of Boise Little Theater during its early decades. Beginning as an associate member in the 1949–50 season alongside his wife, Roy quickly became an indispensable part of the theater’s leadership team.
He first contributed as a ticketing assistant for Payment Deferred and as house manager for Tonight at 8:30 in 1952. Recognized for his organizational skills and steady leadership, Roy went on to serve multiple terms as Business Manager (1952–53, 1953–54, and again in 1958–59), helping guide the theater through periods of growth and development. In the 1954–55 season, he served as President, continuing his commitment to fostering a strong, community-driven institution.
Roy Maxey’s behind-the-scenes work ensured the lights stayed on and the curtains kept rising. His contributions helped shape a lasting legacy of sustainability and professionalism at Boise Little Theater.
