Wendy Koeppl’s legacy at Boise Little Theater is one of remarkable versatility, boundless creativity, and decades-long dedication. Since her first volunteer role as a costume assistant in 1994, Wendy has become one of BLT’s most respected and impactful leaders—onstage, backstage, and in the boardroom.
A multi-time President and long-serving Supervising Director, Wendy has shaped the artistic vision of BLT across more than two decades, mentoring new directors, chairing the Script Committee, and coordinating countless awards picnics and volunteer efforts. She has directed over two dozen productions, many of which earned top honors, including Grace and Glorie, Foxfire, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Irving Berlin’s White Christmas, and Five Women Wearing the Same Dress—for which she often also served as set designer and painter.
Wendy’s behind-the-scenes work is just as impressive. From stage managing and assistant directing to set design, properties, painting, construction, lighting, sound, and costuming—there’s scarcely a production role she hasn’t filled. Her artistic fingerprints appear on an extraordinary number of sets, including iconic musicals, classic dramas, and beloved comedies.
Affectionately known as a “one-woman powerhouse,” Wendy was named Rookie of the Year in 1999–2000, and has since earned numerous Best Director, Best Set Design, and Best Production awards. She is a trusted leader, a generous mentor, and a treasured collaborator whose heart beats with community theater.
Whether in the wings or the workshop, in front of the house or center stage, Wendy Koeppl has been a driving force in keeping BLT vibrant, inclusive, and inspiring for generations of artists and audiences alike.
